| How is the food delivered to me? |
You and your Horizon distributor will set up a schedule for visits that is convenient for you. If you need to change times or days, no problem. Simply call your local office.

| What does the term "All Natural" on your label mean? |
The term "All Natural" is a USDA regulated term. It means our meat has no additives, no preservatives and is minimally processed. Inappropriate use of this term is punishable under federal law. If it says "All Natural" on our label, then it must be approved in Washington as such. All of our non-marinated beef cuts qualify for this USDA designation, and we are currently in the midst of changing our package labels to reflect such statements. All natural cuts are used for Horizon's marinated items. However, according to the USDA, after a marinade is added to any meat it can no longer be designated as officially "all natural."

| Is your poultry hormone-free and free of antibiotics? |
Our poultry is both hormone- and antibiotic-free.

| Is your poultry "free range"? |
Our poultry is "free roaming," which means that the birds are free to roam in a designated area and never inhumanely treated. We pride ourselves with buying poultry from only the best U.S. farms; we never use imported poultry. The United States has the highest standards in the world for the confinement of poultry.

| Do the steer that your beef comes from ever eat beef by-products? |

| Is your salmon farm-raised or wild? |
We carry both. Our Wild Alaskan Salmon is certified by the Marine Steward Council as "wild" and is processed domestically in Alaska. We also offer a Norwegian Salmon that is aqua-cultured. The Norwegians have the highest standards in the world for raising fish and recently won the Gold Standard. Artificial color is never added to our Aqua-cultured salmon. The salmon is raised in the deep, cold water of the Fjords in Norway. The process is one of the only methods proven to be eco-friendly. The product is immediately flash frozen to lock in the freshness. All of our salmon products are guaranteed to be delicious.

| How is Horizon's track record with the USDA and FDA? |
In the 25 years plus being in business, Horizon Foods has never been issued one citation or fine. We sell approximately one million boxes of food nationwide on a yearly basis. We take extreme pride in our track record and extremely rigid quality standards.

| What kind of feed is used for the Cutlets I have purchased? |
Depending on the type of Cutlet it ranges from All Vegetable diet with the ABF Cutlets to a USDA certified grain diet consisting of corn and free of Growth Hormones and animal bi-products. Feed is federally regulated not to have harmful ingredients as is the drinking water used for chickens.

| Is your Beef All Natural |
All of our non-marinated beef cuts qualify for the USDA designation of "ALL NATURAL." We are currently in the midst of changing the labels to reflect such statements. All natural cuts are used for the marinated items. According to the USDA after you add a marinade to the meats it disqualifies it from being designated as officially "ALL NATURAL."

| Is your Beef Organic? |
We do have Organic products which are designated on the box as such. These items are currently available in some regions across the United States. Horizon does not use third party certifying houses and only uses the term USDA organic in Beef and Poultry.

| What government standards does your seafood meet? |
We are committed to the highest standards of food safety. Our highest priority is providing you with consistently delicious, safe premium quality value-added frozen meat, poultry and seafood.
We do so by mandating all of our seafood suppliers to be in the U.S.D.C. & F.D.A. HACCP (Hazard Analysis of Critical Control Points) program, adhering to even more stringent quality criteria than required. These programs are all federally monitored and we evaluate each certification. In fact, We go the extra step in doing additional regular inspections at our facilities and keep an open dialogue with all the necessary agencies.

| What is portion control? |
- # Portion Control is a method of preparing food that was introduced in the United States about 20 years ago. It was developed so that restaurants and institutions could cut down on food preparation costs. We at Horizon Foods distribute our products to the discerning public, by the portion rather than by the pound. Purchased this way, every item completely trimmed, individually wrapped and waste free, saves you time and money. It also offers you the convenience and flexibility of creating gourmet meals without the hassle of lengthy preparation of the headache of crowded supermarkets often offering food of lesser quality.
- With Horizon Foods' portion control, the cuts come individually wrapped to seal in flavor and prevent waste. Portion control packaging also helps prevent waste because the fat, bone and skin are already trimmed away. You actually get the net weight on your plate instead of paying for waste. That makes frozen foods the most economical
choice for you and your family.

| What is flash freezing? |
- Our food items are vacuum-sealed and "flash frozen" in their own airtight packages. Flash-freezing is a revolutionary process of quick freezing (usually within seconds). This locks in all the flavors, juices, vitamins and minerals and allows the products to keep perfectly for long periods. Each product is held in this condition until it is thawed, ensuring that it will be just as fresh as when it was frozen.
- "Flash" freezing means Horizon uses sophisticated, ultra-low temperature freezers to freeze their cuts immediately after they are individually vacuum packed. This quick freeze process is absolutely essential to maintain the flavor and texture of Horizon's fine food products. Horizon's "flash freezing" technique ensures that there is no deterioration in the quality of the product you receive.

| Why is flash freezing better? |
- Flash frozen foods have a much longer shelf life and they will not suffer freezer burn, but that is just the beginning. There are many other advantages to buying flash frozen foods.
- First of all, rapid freezing has nutritional benefits because it maintains the quality of the product without artificial preservatives.
- Taste is also superior because these foods are selected at the peak of quality and then flash frozen to seal in flavor, aroma and nutrition.
- Another benefit of frozen foods: Convenience. The cleaning and other preparation has all been done for you. Easy preparation is a must in our busy world.
- And, thanks to flash freezing, the availability of fish and seafood is never a problem. Even if you don't live near a seaport, you can still enjoy delicious, quality shrimp, crab, lobster and other fish and seafood. Our fish is cleaned, filleted, packaged & flash frozen less than 4 hours after catch, right onboard the fishing vessel.
